Sustainable Chemistry start-ups are a unique source of knowledge and innovation that has a significant potential to contribute to a more sustainable future. In order to help the start-ups succeed in different stages of development, the ISC3 Innovation Hub launched the ISC3 Global Start-up Service, the first programme providing a holistic support to Sustainable Chemistry innovators worldwide.
The Service comprehensively addresses three key aspects: sustainability, chemistry and global reach.
- Sustainability: Fostering commercialisation of sustainable innovation
- Chemistry: Addressing exclusively chemistry-related start-ups
- Global Reach: Creating an enabling environment on a global basis
The ISC3 Global Start-up Service targets innovators along the entire innovation chain: ideators, early-stage innovators and advanced entrepreneurs with potential to solve urgent challenges of sustainable and inclusive development. The programme accompanies them on the journey from “Discovering” an innovation to “Creating” marketable value and “expanding” their business.
ISC3 Global Start-up Service offers three support levels:
The General Support is a basic, universal support granted to all innovators joining the Service. It includes an access to a Sustainable Chemistry Toolbox with tutorials and educational materials on entrepreneurship, business development, sustainable chemistry, as well as relevant market knowledge. The General Support also grants a membership in the ISC3 Virtual Marketplace, an on-line brokerage and matchmaking platform providing a vital space for networking, training and knowledge sharing.
The General Support Plus offers a more personalised support including invitations to pitch events, exhibitions and workshops with investors and leaders from industry, science and politics. It also provides access to the global support infrastructure of the ISC3 Spiderweb Network, a growing network of organisations and individuals promoting Sustainable Chemistry.
The Customised Support is a tailor-made support dependent on the needs of an innovator. It can include mentoring, help with IP management, access to finance and prototyping infrastructure, provision of relevant market information, and much more. Within the customised support mode, the entrepreneurs – and their innovations – will be featured on the ISC3 website.
