ISC3 at ACHEMA - International Exhibition-Congress on Chemical Engineering, Environmental Protection and Biotechnology

ISC3 – International Sustainable Chemistry Collaborative Centre

The ISC3 will be present at this year´s ACHEMA exhibition and trade fair (11.-15. Junue 2018) in Frankfurt, Germany.


The triennial event is the world´s largest forum for chemical engineering and the process industry, offering a panorama of up-to date tech-nology trends and a technology platform with a worldwide signaling impact. The ISC3 will be hosting a fair stand at the Innovation und Research Hall jointly with the US-based initiative Think Beyond Plastic, an accelerator and think tank advancing commercialization of research and innovation with focus on circular materials, circular design and innovative packaging. The partners will provide international start-ups and entrepreneurs with the opportunity to showcase their businesses at the ISC3 booth and within a speed-pitching session at the hall´s discussion corner.

Pitch Presentation at ACHEMA Trade Fair in Frankfurt: Global Innovation Showcases

Chemistry is facing the biggest challenge in its history: Meeting the needs of a sustainable future. In cooperation with the US-based accelerator platform Think Beyond PlasticTM the ISC3 presents five start-ups at its booth in exhibition hall 9.2 to showcase Sustainable Chemistry innovation. In a Pitch Presentation, hold on June 12th at ACHEMA Discussion Corner, the accelerator platform Think Beyond PlasticTM and four of the young entrepreneurs presented their innovative solutions for the new plastics economy.

Chemistry is facing the biggest challenge in its history: Meeting the needs of a sustainable future. What are the challenges for the chemical industry on the way to sustainable development? The International Sustainable Chemistry Collaborative Centre (ISC3) addresses these questions on a global scale. Learn more about the ISC3 and its groundbreaking work during the press-lunch on Monday, June 11th at 1pm.

Chemistry is facing the biggest challenge in its history: To meet the needs of a growing population in a world of scarce resources and growing environmental problems chemistry has to reinvent itself to become a key solution provider for a sustainable future. The emerging concept of Sustainable Chemistry offers a new system thinking based approach to transform the more than 150-year-old chemical industry. To promote Sustainable Chemistry innovation worldwide the International Sustainable Chemistry Collaborative Centre (ISC3) was established in 2017 as a new international, independent institution.
